Artemis trimaran sets sail in Valencia

Posted on 03 October 2011 by Valencia Sailing

The modified ORMA 60 trimaran owned by Artemis Racing, the 34th America’s Cup challenger of record, set sail at 11am on Monday off the Malvarosa beach in Valencia. Conditions were very light with close to 30 degrees temperature, sunny skies, flat seas and not more than 2-3 knots of breeze.

We were able to keep track of the yacht for approximately 45 minutes, up to the hoist of the mainsail when she was too far away to take any meaningful photos.
