Gee SNG has to make a decison in public to schedule a meeting. How can they continue to hide like they have in the past with not letting a 3rd party steno or ISAF attend the meeting between the 2.
Yep, probably the best place to call out SNG is in public as they need to be shown as the failed Trustee they are.
I was just looking at some photos of alinghi 5 sailing, presumably in Ras Al kama. It looks like they have joins in their sails.I have a 40´ racing yacht with 3DL sails and they do not appear to have any of these joins… If i am correct that these are indeed joins ( perhaps someone from Alinghi could confirm)where are these joins made? Why do the sails have joins? I guess the joins are made on the machine at 3DL? Or is this something the alinghi team of sailmakers have to do? If the sails are not leaving 3DL in one piece then surely they are constructed elsewhere? id be interested to hear comments from both teams on this??

5:43 PM – the strips are broadseaming that has to take place as the sails are too big to do as 1 piece.
What is important is that the molds that are only in Mindens still have to be used.
Alinghi can be other sails just as good as 3D's by doing what other sailmakers do to make segmented string sails on the floor versus a mold ie: Quantum, Sobstad, Elvstrom & etc
